At PJCox Law, we have a deep understanding of Florida's Workers' Compensation Law and offer a range of legal services related to defending claims. PJCox Law, P.A., handles all aspects of a Workers’ Compensation defense cases, from its inception through an appeal. The Firm aggressively defends litigated files, provides legal opinions, processes settlements, handles Special Disability Trust Fund reimbursements, and handles appeals. The Firm has successfully handled countless mediations, appellate cases, and Final Hearings. We also assist our clients with investigation of claims to determine compensability of alleged injuries and illnesses.

Pamela Cox is the founding Partner of PJCox Law. She graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. Degree in Political Science in 1987, and Anthropology n 2016. She earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1990. Pamela served on the Law Review with editorial responsibilities while in law school, published articles. She is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts (Florida Bar Number 0857343), the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit, and is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar. Pamela is married to Robert Rudd, a Professional Engineer. They live in Altamonte Springs.
Pamela has a statewide practice and a variety of experience in defending claims. She has argued many cases before Judges of Compensation Claims throughout the state at the trial level as well as 50 cases and/or arguments before Florida’s First District Court of Appeals at the appellate level.
In her free time, Pamela enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling around the world, and creating new recipes in the kitchen. She is also an avid photographer and has created over 25 books of her photography.
James Cox is an Associate who first began working in the area of Workers’ Compensation in 2020 while still in law school. A native of Florida, James received his Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Before attending law school, James was an intern for two Representatives at the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee.
James attended Stetson University College of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2022. While in law school, James was a member of Stetson’s Trial Team and served as Teaching Assistant for several Trial Advocacy classes. He was also a member of Stetson’s Law Review and was an extern for both the City of Tampa and City of St. Petersburg.
In his free time, he enjoys boating, golfing, and camping. He is also an Eagle Scout.
